Does Avon Bearings offer gearboxes and mounting bolts?
At this time, Avon does not offer mounting bolts or gearboxes.

Can the raceways be rehardened?
While the procedure is not recommended, Avon has been successful when rehardening raceway surfaces during the remanufacturing process for extra large diameter bearings.

Does Avon build up the raceways by welding?
Avon does not weld any surfaces on the bearing after original manufacturing.

What is the warranty for a new bearing? What about a remanufactured bearing?
All new and remanufactured bearings have a one-year warranty for workmanship and materials. Can we make custom-designed bearings?
Avon Bearings designs and manufactures bearings ranging in size from about 12” to 240” for a variety of applications.

Do we have representatives in the field?
Avon Bearings currently has several sales representatives in the United States and Europe. Service representatives are located at the Avon Bearings facility in Avon, Ohio U.S.A.

Can I contact Avon’s engineers directly?
The members of Avon Bearings sales department can assist you with most of your application requirements. If they are unable to satisfactorily answer your questions, they will refer you to an appropriate member of the Engineering Department.

Do you accept Visa or MasterCard?
Yes, Avon does accept Visa and Master Card.

Does Avon make service calls? If so, is there a fee?
Yes, at Avon’s discretion, on-site Service calls are made to assist our customers. In most cases there is a fee associated with the service call.

Does Avon make personal visits to assist with engineering efforts? If so, is there a fee?
Avon sales representatives will be happy to make a personal visit should it be required. Generally, there is no fee for the visit.

Does Avon offer an extended warranty?
Not typically. Occasionally, on a case by case basis, extended warranties are negotiated and prices are adjusted accordingly.

How are Avon’s bearings packaged?
Each bearing is individually lubricated, coated with a rust preventative and wrapped before being placed on a skid or in a wooden box. Multiple bearings may be put on the same skid / box.

How small in diameter can you manufacture a bearing? How large?
The smallest is about 12” (305mm), depending upon design details. The largest Avon can manufacture is 240” (6.1 meters) depending upon design details.
